A world-famous obstacle course is coming to Manchester this summer. Tough Mudder, the mud-soaked challenge, is set to take over Manchester's Heaton Park.

The leaders in obstacle course racing will take over the park across the weekend of July 13 and 14 for an event that organisers have said will 'push the North's toughest to their limits'. There's also a 'Lidl Mudder' for mini daredevils.

Tough Mudder creates hardcore obstacle courses designed to test participants 'strength, stamina, and mental grit'. Spanning 5km to 15km courses, it attracts million of people worldwide.

Organisers say those taking part can expect a 'battlefield where sweat, mud, and raw determination collide', as they take on treacherous mud pits, towering walls, electrifying obstacles, and ice-cold water challenges. From the gruelling ‘Mud Mile’ to the daunting heights of ‘Everest 2.0,’ each obstacle requires participants to dig deep to cross the finish line.

The 10km Tough Mudder course features more than 20 adrenaline-inducing obstacles, including the ice-cold depths of 'Arctic Enema', and the electrifying 'Electroshock Therapy'.

For the younger generation eager to join in, Tough Mudder Manchester also presents the much-loved Lidl Mudder. This one-mile course is built to provide children with a chance to experience the thrill of overcoming obstacles in a supportive and fun environment.

Tough Mudder will be hosting a string of events over the next few months, beginning with courses in the Midlands this weekend, before Manchester, Yorkshire and Europe's Toughest Mudder at the end of July. The event series will then head south in August before heading back to the North West in October.

Founded in 2010, Tough Mudder is a leading global sports and active lifestyle brand that creates the 'world’s most extraordinary' adventures. With more than six million participants, the company hosts more than 130 challenges events annually in ten countries.

Prices for the Tough Mudder full experience start at £130, while the one mile Muddy Adventure for Kids starts at £20. The events take place on July 13-14 at Heaton Park. The Tough Mudder website has all the latest information, registration details, and updates.
