Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa – So the soon to be Badshah of Bollywood enjoyed snatching the other actor’s share so much, he couldn’t keep from a second attempt in Kabhi Haan Kabhi Na. Now though he tried his best, Anna didn’t fall into his trap. Hard luck SRK this time – never mind, for the rest of his splendid career he kept winning hearts that were much coveted by other guys.

Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge – And one of them happens to be the most celebrated movie of all times, DDLJ. The story line was a typical of Bollywood, but it was the treatment of Aditya Chopra that made it a huge success. And then of course, how do we forget SRK’s late realization of his only love that brought him to his pind.

Pardes – Playing the NRI card again along with his guitar, SRK falls for the desi Mahima Chaudhury. Nothing worth the attention, hence, to introduce a twist to the story, the director gets Mahima engaged to Apoorva Agnihotri. For this debut performance Apoorva did get a lot of girls going, “Aww, he’s so cute” and that is pretty much all he got from his short Bollywood career. Coming back to the plot, SRK didn’t hold back from snapping in his best friend’s girl either. But Subhash Ghai ensured SRK retains all the sympathy by making a douche bag out of Apoorva’s character.

Dil To Pagal Hai – An orphan girl, indebted heavily by her benevolent ‘uncle and aunty’ is all set to pay off the debt by marrying their perfect son who is easily the most eligible bachelor on earth and everything is going smooth – but then she stumbles upon SRK’s sexy legs at a shopping mall – this is the onset of the monstrous turmoil. Now why exactly SRK had to take off his jeans to try on a shirt, is beyond our reasoning.

Kuch Kuch Hota Hai – Only Shah Rukh can steal a man’s woman by playing Dumb Charades, now that, to me is art. This brat didn’t have a care for the tom-boyish Kajol and conveniently friend zoned her in favor of the gorgeous new – bee (read Rani Mukherjee). 8 years hence, when Kajol undergoes an epic make over and is all set to marry Salman Khan, SRK figures it’d be totally cool to crash Salman’s wedding and play Dumb Charades with his would be. Seriously?

Chalte Chalte – Not sure why every director in the industry offers Shah Rukh characters that fall in love at the drop of a hat. All the Rahuls and Rajs he has ever played need one, just one second to figure – this girl is the one, to hell with her existing boyfriend or fiancé if at all she has one. Another flick that paints desperate lover picture of King Khan who marries a woman already engaged to some other dude.

Veer Zaara – Chasing someone’s fiancé from London to India, or India to the US was just not working anymore. Enough with crossing the oceans, SRK, being a defense officer, decides on crossing the border this time to bring home a girl betrothed to a leader across border – did anyone on the Yash Raj team, for once consider the political repercussions and heights of unrest this could have added to the existing volatile relations with our good neighbors?

Jab Tak Hai Jaan – In this movie, just like the previous one, and the one before that, SRK meets a damsel in disdain, approaching a bland arranged marriage, and casts his innate magic to get the girl drooling over him. But wait – there’s something different in this movie. Samar Anand – that’s SRK’s name in this movie, he finally breaks out of the vicious cycle surrounding the Rajs and Rahuls.

Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna – The sole factor behind his massive stardom is his insatiable ambition – he just doesn’t settle down. He experiments with new stuff all the time. Like in KANK – King Khan was done goofing around fiancés and love interests of secondary actors, so he aimed at the wife – and not just anybody’s wife. It was Abhishek ‘Junior’ Bachchan’s wife he targets this time. Okay, don’t get all confused here – I am talking about his ‘on-screen’ wife.

Paheli –This one takes Shah Rukh Khan’s (who in case you doubt, is my favorite actor in the whole wide world) penchant for wife/fiancé/girlfriend eyeing to a whole new level. Ain’t nobody got time for a second lead loser’s woman anymore, SRK lures his doppelganger’s wife in this epic (ahem – sarcasm-ahem) movie as a form shifting ghost. You know what’s funnier than this? Paheli was sent as India’s Oscar entry in the year 2006 – as you must have guessed, it was not nominated and we don’t blame anyone.

…And no one raises a brow, dude doesn’t get any flak for it either. In fact the confidence he does it with, abducting the loser’s girl for that matter, seems to be the legit thing to do every single time.

Ironically this degeneracy is exactly what makes girls fall for him, and even at the ripe age of 50 he continues to win hearts of a million beauties around the globe - effortlessly.
