Origi Predicts Bright Future With Klopp

Divock Origi believes Liverpool are poised to take a big step forward next season under Jurgen Klopp.

Klopp took over from Brendan Rodgers in October and led the Reds to an eighth-place finish in the Premier League, while they also reached the finals of the League Cup and the Europa League, losing to Manchester City and Sevilla respectively.

Origi enjoyed a strong second-half of the season under Klopp and he is hoping to build on that progress next season.

"With Klopp we played in two finals," Origi told Sky Sports. "We lost them, but as a group we have a lot of talent. It is good for me to play with big players and take steps every day.

"We are going to do everything to do this and I feel we have the qualities also. It will be an exciting season for us. We have more training time and we have to use this to become better."

Origi is currently on international duty with Belgium, preparing for next month's Euro 2016 tournament. Belgium go into the tournament as one of the favourites and are blessed with a wealth of attacking talent.

Origi will compete to start up front with Liverpool teammate Christian Benteke, Everton's Romelu Lukaku and Michy Batshuayi of Marseille.

The 21-year-old revealed he has been spending a lot of time in the gym building up his strength, and he believes that has had a positive impact in his performances of the field.

"A lot of things have happened this year, a lot of good moments and lower moments so I've gained a lot of experience playing for a big club like Liverpool," Origi said.

"The Premier League, for me, is the best league in the world, the most intensive league. It was important for me to take this step.

"I've been in the gym a lot, working hard. For me it was important to do a lot of bodyweight training because you can be a lot more explosive and quicker and you can be at your best."
