Our Yorkshire Farm's Amanda and Clive Owen admit 21-year marriage has 'hit rocky patch'
Our Yorkshire Farm stars Amanda and Clive Owen have spoken out following reports that their marriage is on the rocks.
The couple have been married for 21 years, but it’s been claimed over the past few months they have been struggling to keep their relationship afloat, with Amanda, 47, moving out of the familial home.
It’s believed that Amanda and Clive, 66, have decided to make a decision after Christmas regarding their future.
In a joint statement released to OK! Online, the Owens have confirmed this to be true, citing the increased popularity in their lives as putting a strain on the relationship.
They wrote: "With the TV show and the books we've always aimed to show the reality of life on the farm, and just like any marriage we have our stresses and strains, coupled with all the complexities of what we do on the farm and bringing up nine kids.
"We're a normal family, and we've never said our marriage is perfect. Unfortunately, the constant intrusion into our lives from the media has amplified a rocky patch that we're going through.”
The couple are parents to nine children: Raven, 20, Reuben, 17, Miles, 15, Edith, 12, Violet, ten, Sidney, nine, Annas, seven, Clemmie, five, and Nancy, four.
They pair have become famed for their TV series, as well as Amanda’s collection of books under The Yorkshire Shephardess.
Together with Owen, she runs the 2000-acre Ravenseat Farm in Swaledale, Yorkshire Dales.
In 2011, they made their first appearance on The Dales with Adrian Edmondson, and since then have been used in a number of programmes including Ben Fogle’s New Lives In The Wild.
Our Yorkshire Farm was launched in 2018, and follows their day-to-day lives looking after the farm and the responsibilities that entails.
Our Yorkshire Farm airs on Channel 5.
