Outdoor Dining Area Blown Away as Storm Batters Madrid

A storm hit Madrid on June 25, destroying the terrace of a bar “in a few seconds”, a local told Storyful.

Video by Gonzalo Mendo Rodriguez shows parasols and outdoor furniture being blown away, and shattered crockery on the ground as wind continues to blow and rain pours down.

Mendo Rodriguez told Storyful that the chaos unfolded within a few seconds, with staff nonetheless braving the weather to try and save one of the umbrellas, and help a woman in a wheelchair “get out of the storm”.
