The Outlander prequel, Blood of My Blood, which is filming in and around Glasgow has just revealed its most adorable casting yet.

Posting on Father's Day on Sunday (June 16), two faves from the original show, Angus Mhor and Rupert MacKenzie, who are played by actors Stephen Walters and Grant O’Rourke revealed who will be playing the younger versions of their characters.

In a video shared on social media, the pair confirmed that in fact their real-life sons, Marlow and Louis, would be aptly stepping into the roles.

The wonderful clip shows the four of them together with the younger lads already in costume.

In the video, Stephen said: “To see our children playing a younger version of us… Even though we’re no longer in it, in a way, we are.”

While Grant added proudly: “We’ve been getting photos of everything, standing backstage, taking photos of them.”

This upcoming spin-off delves into the earlier lives of Jamie's parents in 18th-century Scottish Highlands and Claire Fraser's parents in England during the World War I era.

Fans shared their eight online with one exclaiming: "Seriously you guys deserve a Nobel prize for your casting authenticity. So cute and awesome that they get to play their father's characters as kids.

"I'm already down for a spin-off of Angus and Rupert's adventures as kids and growing up together."
