Outlander star struck by a car as fans send well-wishes

Outlander star Nell Hudson, who portrays Laoghaire Fraser in the hit Starz show, has taken to Instagram to thank fans for their well-wishes after she was involved in a road crash.

The actress, who lives in London said that she was hit by a stolen car and shared a picture of the damage.

Alongside the snap, she penned: "Thank you everyone who reached out, it means a lot."

In a previous post on her stories, Nell said that the car was stolen and the person responsible had been arrested, however there are no further details on the incident.

In the snap she shared, a car can be seen with the front bumper completely damaged and the tyre burst.

Nell is set to return to the upcoming series of Outlander as Laoghaire as Jamie and Claire return to Scotland.

Back in October, the official Outlander social media site revealed that some old cast members will be returning for the new season as well as some new faces.

Laoghaire is a villan in the show and fans love to hate her. When Claire travelled back through the stones for 20 years to raise Brianna following the battle of Culloden, fans discovered that Jamie married Laoghaire even though she was the reason that Claire faced trial for suspected witchcraft.

Away from Outlander, Nell is also an author and a yoga instructor.
