Two Oxford hotels have launched a low-carbon menu in an effort to help the environment.

The new offering from voco Oxford at both its Thames and Spires hotels is aimed at groups of more than 25 corporate guests.

All meals come with a carbon score, helping companies make greener choices.

There are options ranked by their carbon footprint, or a low carbon set menu at £35 per person, which includes a £2.5 contribution to a tree-planting project.

Director of operations at voco Oxford Spires, Logesh Waran said: "We are excited to partner with Klimato to launch our new low carbon banqueting menu, a significant step in our sustainability journey.

"At voco Oxford, we are committed to making environmentally responsible choices and providing our guests with the opportunity to do the same.

"By offering meals with a carbon score and contributing to local tree planting projects, we aim to reduce our environmental footprint and inspire other businesses to join us in creating a more sustainable future."

The new menu has been created in partnership Klimato, a food sustainability solution which helps businesses measure, track, and reduce their environmental footprint.

CEO and co-founder of Klimato, Anton Unger, said: "Hundreds of global businesses trust us to help them reduce their carbon footprint, meet sustainability goals, and optimise revenue.

"We’re delighted to see voco Oxford join this initiative, demonstrating their dedication to environmental responsibility and customer transparency.”
