Ozzy Osbourne dismisses death hoax

Ozzy Osbourne has shut down a report declaring him dead.

During Tuesday's episode of The Osbournes Podcast, the Black Sabbath singer addressed an unverified online source which claimed he had died.

"The thing on YouTube, it's got Celebrities Who Died Today, and there's a picture of me," Ozzy exclaimed. "I'm not dead! I'm not really dead, just a little flesh wound."

He referenced a scene from 1975's Monty Python and the Holy Grail, wherein the Black Knight, played by John Cleese, declares, "Tis but a scratch" and "Just a flesh wound" when Arthur (Graham Chapman) severs his arm.

"I'm not dead, I'm not going any-f**king-where," Ozzy asserted on the podcast. "And I'm gonna go and do some more gigs before I'm finished, anyway."

The singer's wife Sharon Osbourne called those who spread the death hoax "sick f**kers".

The 75-year-old has experienced ill health in recent years and in September, he announced he'd undergone his "final" surgery on his spine, admitting he couldn't "do it anymore".

The rocker suffered an ATV accident in 2003, after which he had metal rods installed into his body. In 2019, Ozzy suffered a fall which dislodged the metal rods - requiring more extensive surgeries.

In addition to his spinal injury, Ozzy revealed in 2020 that he had been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in February 2019.
