Yahoo News Ozzy Osbourne talks making new album: "Who's Post Malone?"
It’s been a tough year for Ozzy Osbourne - but the ageing rocker has shown he’s still his old self while as he promotes his new album.
The Black Sabbath frontman announced he had been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease last month, and suffered bad injuries after a fall last year, but the rocker is still working hard, and is in the midst of promoting his new album Ordinary Man.
The star was on fine form as he took part in Ozzie Speaks a show made to coincide with the release of the solo effort due out this month.
As all credible artists tend to do, the Birmingham-born singer has taken inspiration from his tough private life while making the album, and he revealed: “Someone told me writers come up with the best stuff when they’re miserable. And I was pretty f***ing miserable.”
The ten-song album will feature a track alongside chart-topping rapper and song-writer Post Malone, though Ozzy, in his inimitable way, revealed he wasn’t sold on the idea after it was suggested by daughter Kelly.
“Kelly came home and said to me, ‘Dad, a friend of mine wants to know if you’d sing on a Post Malone [song],'” Osbourne recalled. “I said, ‘Who the f***’s Post Malone?'”
The new album was recorded over a short period of time, with each track being done in one or two takes.

Considering his health issues, it is unknown if the star will tour his solo material.
The chat also unveiled the fact Osbourne thought Spotify was the name of a disease and that he is finding being sober, which he has been for seven years, “f***ing boring”.
Despite his recent issues, Osbourne also revealed the recording process had been a healing one. said that
“Doing music is the best medicine I’ve had.”
Ordinary Man is out 21 February.
