Ozzy Osbourne wants to tour again despite being in 'constant pain'

Ozzy Osbourne has said he would hit the road on tour again even though he is battling "constant pain".

The Black Sabbath frontman — who has been diagnosed with degenerative disease Parkinson’s and recently had major spinal surgery — announced his retirement from touring last month, cancelling the European leg of his No More Tours 2 tour as he told fans he was too unwell to travel from city to city to perform.

Updating fans during an interview on SiriusXM's Ozzy's Boneyard show, the star said he was in "constant pain" but that he was "working my guts out to try and get back on my feet".

He said: "I’ve come to the point where Sharon (wife Sharon Osbourne) says to me, 'You know what, the truth of the matter is, you can't keep booking tours and failing, cancelling.'"

The star, 74, said despite what he has been through, if he could tour, he would.

"The only thing I've got that keeps me going is making records," he said.

"But I can't do that forever.

"I gotta get out there."

Last month the rocker told fans in a statement that although his singing voice was fine, his body was "still physically weak".

“I am honestly humbled by the way you’ve all patiently held onto your tickets for all this time, but in all good conscience, I have now come to the realisation that I’m not physically capable of doing my upcoming European/UK tour dates, as I know I couldn’t deal with the travel required," he said.

"Believe me when I say that the thought of disappointing my fans really F***S ME UP, more than you will ever know.
