Paddy McGuinness jokes about dating life while Christine takes care of kids at home

In no rush to divorce from his wife Christine, Paddy McGuinness has made a hilarious quip about his dating life on Instagram.

Although they announced their separation in 2022, shortly after the airing of their documentary Our Family and Autism, the pair maintain a strong relationship as they continue to co-parent their three children, twins Penelope and Leo, and daughter Felicity.

However, Christine has recently been left to her own devices as Paddy has been preparing his newest TV project with automotive journalist Chris Harris. The pair are working on a three-part series for the BBC, investigating how our European neighbours welcome old age, and have headed off to Sweden before jetting off to Greece and Switzerland.

Taking to Instagram this Sunday, May 19, Paddy documented his trip to Sweden with a surprising snap in which he can be seen pulling on a rope tied around a tree trunk. The single TV star decided to caption the shot with a joke about his dating life, writing: "on the pull in Sweden."

The post prompted one follower to respond in the comment section: "Welcome to Sweden. The Swedes will love you! And the mosquitos too!" Paddy shared his own reply as he penned: "beautiful country."

Meanwhile, Christine shared an insight into her own life this Sunday as she took to the same social media platform with a series of recent photos. The model and TV personality can be seen enjoying time in her lavish garden and practising yoga in the comfort of her immaculate home, which she still shares with Paddy, making it clear she's taken the time as an opportunity to recharge.

"Mama cam is oozing calm", she penned in her caption. "I love calmness in my life. I love those moments of silence and peace where there's just stillness and me. I love having time for intentional slowness and gratitude. I love when my nervous system is at ease."

Multiple fans rushed to the comment section, happy to know that Christine, who was diagnosed with autism and Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD) in 2021, has found a way to take care of herself. "I'm so glad you're in a calm space, it's so important, and I know, for your mind, that's hard to get to. Keep going, keep being you", one follower notably wrote in the comment section.

Christine has insisted she'd be focusing on herself and her well-being after her separation from Paddy. In late March, 2024, she told the Loose Women panel that she also wouldn't take a dive back into the dating pool any time soon. "It's important for me to take this time to be with me", she admitted after 11 years by Paddy McGuinness' side.

While she's still finding her balance following her life-changing autism diagnosis, Christine had then added: "I want to spend time with my children. I just want to be with me, I've always been a loner, I quite like being in my own company."
