Pamela Anderson: Porn Is For Losers

The former Playboy playmate has released a statement saying graphic sex videos are a “public hazard” and people who access it are generally sad and lonely individuals.

In a joint op-ed with Rabbi Shmuley Boteach for the Wall Street Journal, she wrote: "This is a public hazard of unprecedented seriousness given how freely available, anonymously accessible and easily disseminated pornography is nowadays.

They added: "We must educate ourselves and our children to understand that porn is for losers – a boring, wasteful and dead-end outlet for people too lazy to reap the ample rewards of healthy sexuality.”

The 49-year-old actress - who has sons Brandon, 20, and Dylan, 18 (pictured below), with her ex-husband Tommy Lee - blamed technology for making porn easily available but conceded it was “irreversible”.

They said: “The march of technology is irreversible and we aren’t so naive as to believe that any kind of imposed regulation could ever reseal the Pandora’s box of pornography. What is required is an honest dialogue about what we are witnessing – the true nature and danger of porn – and an honour code to tamp it down in the collective interests of our well-being as individuals, as families and as communities.’

Pamela and Tommy’s sex tape was stolen in 1995 and was made available on the web with their permission.
