Yahoo News Paramore Announces Julien Baker, Remi Wolf, More Appear on 'This Is Why' Remix Album
The pop-punk band will release, 'Re: This Is Why,' a reworked version of their 2023 album on Friday

The pop-punk band is releasing Re: This Is Why, a new version of their 2023 album with remixed and rewritten tracks, on Friday. After announcing the project earlier this week, on Wednesday, the trio announced all of the other artists who are joining them as features.
The group featuring vocalist Hayley Williams, guitarist Taylor York and drummer Zac Farro detailed all of the guests on the new album on Instagram.
They’ll be joined by a handful of rising talents: Teenage punks and their past tour mates The Linda Lindas, British group Wet Leg, pop breakout and one of Olivia Rodrigo’s upcoming tour openers Remi Wolf, indie rocker Bartees Strange, Julien Baker of Boygenius fame and Claud, who is signed to Phoebe Bridgers’ record label Saddest Factory. Jazz duo DOMi & JD BECK, who were nominated for best new artist at the 2023 Grammys, also appear.

Several longtime indie favorites are also joining Paramore, including Foals, Panda Bear and Romy of The XX. Producer/TV host Zane Lowe is also among the features.
11 of the 12 tracks on Re: This Is Why include a guest. Album closer “Sanity” is the only track without a feature and instead the demo version of the song.
On Monday when the “Hard Times” band announced the record, they shared a statement about it on Instagram.
Alongside the album art, they wrote, “We’ve long wanted to recognize the connection we have with some of the artists who’ve influenced us as a band and/or who have cited our band as an influence.”
“Re: This Is Why is almost a remix album,” the rockers continued. “Some of the songs have been remixed sort of classically, while others were reworked or rewritten. It’s incredible to hear all our worlds colliding. Out 10/6.”
Paramore dropped their dance-punk-inspired album This Is Why in February. The record marked their first album in six years, following 2017’s acclaimed After Laughter.
The band embarked on a massive tour in support of the record, beginning with international dates in early 2023 and starting the North American leg in May. On select dates, they were joined by Re: This Is Why featured artists Foals and The Linda Lindas.
The “Misery Business” band ended their tour early in August when they had to cancel the remaining two shows so Williams, 34, could focus on recovering from a chest infection.

In late August, the frontwoman shared an update to fans on Discord. “I can hardly believe I don’t cough all day and night anymore. My stomach is still f---ed from 10 kinds of medication," the "C’est Comme Ça" singer wrote. "I’m just happy to be resting more.”
Paramore will soon resume touring in November, next head to Australia and New Zealand where Re: This Is Why special guest Remi Wolf is among the openers.
In 2024, they’ll join their longtime friend Taylor Swift on the European leg of her Eras Tour.
