Green tech company Thermly has announced the launch of its partnership with Retrofit Somerset.

The pioneering collaboration aims to support the installation of heat pumps in homes, benefitting up to 40,000 homeowners.

It is set to commence in rural locations in southeast Somerset, with plans to expand countywide.

Each eligible homeowner can access £7,500 in government funding towards installation costs, while the first 20 who utilise Thermly's platform will get an extra £1,000.

All heat pump installations will be performed by Somerset firms.

Chris Gaskell from Retrofit Somerset said: "We're delighted to partner with the Thermly platform.

"It will help homeowners identify if a heat pump is suitable and connect them to local installers.

"We look forward to helping more people get a heat pump installed."
