It looks like Great British Bake Off's Paul Hollywood has had enough of kneading dough and has turned to kneading faces instead. Well, kind of.

Yes, tonight (March 29) on Channel 4, documentary Bare Knuckle Fight Club will follow the world of Paul's alter-ego Shaun Smith, and the ins and outs of bare knuckle fighting.

OK, so obviously it's not the real Paul Hollywood – but the pair do seriously look alike.

Which is something that Shaun hasn't let pass him by: "A lot of people say [we look the same], but if I had his money I wouldn't be doing what I'm doing," Smith quipped to the Radio Times.

"Paul Hollywood beats eggs. I beat people," he added.

Bare Knuckle Fight Club will see Shaun in his role as the UK's top bare-knuckle boxing promoter, as he referees and organises bouts across the country, taking viewers ringside for the action.

Explaining his reasons for taking part in the documentary, Shaun explained: "I want to show the public that these aren't f**king animals. I wanted to show they're not fighting in the gravel.

"They're in a ring with paramedics and doctors on the corner. A long time ago we had pub fighters, but we do everything professionally now. Even the people that put the bandages on the fighters' hands have to go on a course!"

In other unexpected Paul Hollywood news, the GBBO judge went on a night out with newly-confirmed presenter Noel Fielding over the weekend. How we wish we could have been a fly on the wall for that one.

Bare Knuckle Fight Club airs tonight on Channel 4 at 11pm.
