Glastonbury Festival 2022's headliners definitely offer something for all ages - Saturday's main act Paul McCartney is the oldest ever headliner at 80, following Billie Eilish, 20, as the youngest ever on Friday.

Macca's top billing will also mark the first time that BBC One has broadcast a Saturday headline performance.

When is Paul McCartney playing at Glastonbury?

Paul McCartney is Glastonbury's oldest ever headliner, filling Saturday's top spot on the Pyramid Stage.

His show will also be the first time that BBC One has broadcast a Saturday headline act, with coverage beginning on BBC One at 10.30pm on Saturday, 25 June introduced by Jo Whiley.

McCartney's slot actually runs from 9.30pm to 11.45pm, although there is coverage on BBC Two up until when the programme on BBC One starts.

Other BBC One Saturday coverage begins at 7pm with Olivia Rodrigo.

BBC Two goes heavy on Glastonbury coverage on Saturday, with programmes beginning at 5pm and featuring Self Esteem, Skunk Anansie and Joy Crookes.

After a break, BBC Two coverage begins again at 8pm with Haim, Leon Bridges and the Avalanches, followed by Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds at 9pm.

BBC Three airs highlights from 8pm including Holly Humberstone, AJ Tracey, Pa Salieu, Yungblud and Megan Thee Stallion, while BBC Four's 7pm programme features Celeste.

Friday kicks off the festival with youngest ever headliner Billie Eilish on the Pyramid Stage, whose performance can be caught up with on iPlayer after it airs on BBC Two.

Sunday will see rapper Kendrick Lamar close the festival as the headline act.

Earlier on Sunday afternoon, Diana Ross takes on the ever popular teatime Legends slot.
