Perrie Edwards has 'never lived with' ex-Reds star Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain

Former Little Mix star Perrie Edwards has opened up about her ­relationship with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

The couple, who have been together for eight years, are engaged and have a two-year-old son, Axel, together. But despite this, the singer has said she and the former Reds star have never lived together.

Speaking on the Jonathan Ross Show on ITV1 and ITVX, the singer said: "I can't lie, it is hard. When he was playing for Liverpool and based in Manchester, it was so easy to do the back and forth but Turkey is a little bit further and he doesn't get a lot of time off.

"I'm trying to launch a solo career whilst having a two year old so it is a lot to juggle but we make it work for the ones we love don't we?

"We've never lived together anyway - the whole eight years we've been in a relationship, we've never actually lived together."

Perrie has also given some insights into her relationship with the ex-Reds midfielder through her song-writing. The singer spoke about the meaning of one of her new songs, which she co-wrote with RAYE.

She said: "Full disclosure, me and my partner don't argue, we're very laid back and very chilled.

"But at the same time, I can be a little bit of a petty b**** and I can't help it. I don't know whether it's my star sign - cancer. I'm very stubborn, I'm very emotional but not in the best way. I will hold a grudge for anything he might say.

"I just can't help the way I am, I'm just like that but we just started writing a song about it and I just thought the lyrics were super relatable."
