Pete Burns ‘borrowing money off friends’ before he died

Tragic Pete Burns was so skint that he was borrowing cash from friends just before he died claims George Galloway.

The former MP claims that undergoing what Pete estimates were around 300 cosmetic surgeries left him out of pocket and asking his pals for help.

George had been close friends with the Dead or Alive singer since they both appeared on Celebrity Big Brother together ten years ago.

“Pete was really hard up, I myself had to help him out of a jam or two,” Galloway said, according to the Daily Star.

“He had a lot of difficulties in his life, no doubt. He had a very bad operation on his lips in Italy and bankrupted himself with the legal costs of suing for compensation for an operation that went wrong.”

Pete Burns death at just 57 years old was confirmed by his manager on Monday.

In a statement released via social media, he said: “It is with the greatest sadness that we have to break the tragic news that our beloved Pete Burns of (Dead Or Alive), died suddenly yesterday of a massive cardiac arrest.
