Pete Buttigieg Interrupted by Protester at Biden Campaign Event in St Petersburg, Florida

Former Mayor of South Bend, Indiana, Pete Buttigieg made an appearance in St Petersburg, Florida, to campaign for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris on Wednesday, October 28.

According to local reports, soon after St Petersburg Mayor Rick Kriseman introduced Buttigieg to a group of “well over 200 supporters” in Williams Park, a man began booing and heckling.

This footage captures Buttigieg’s reaction to the interruption.

“Don’t worry about it,” Buttigieg says to the crowd. “We’re bigger than him.”

When the man continues, Buttigieg is heard saying, “Can I finish my remarks? Are you afraid to hear what I have to say?” He then asks the protester, “Do you denounce white supremacy? Good! Then we agree on something! That’s a beginning point. See if you can get your president to do the same thing.”
