Peter Andre sets firm household rules as son Junior gets into new relationship with older model

Peter Andre has disclosed that he's sticking to a firm set of household and bedroom rules for his kids, amidst his son Junior introducing a new girlfriend who is older.

The pop star and dad-of-five, who recently celebrated the arrival of his daughter Arabella Rose with wife Emily 11 weeks ago, is insistent on maintaining these guidelines despite the latest family development. Peter, who was raised in a strict family environment himself, shared that he was never permitted to have girlfriends stay over at his parents' abode.

In keeping with a similar ethos in his own household, albeit not as stringent, Peter revealed these domestic policies just as his firstborn, Junior, 19, went public with his relationship on social media.

On his 19th birthday, Junior uploaded several intimate snaps with Jasmin Orr on Instagram, playfully writing: "It's my Birthday! ! Wouldn't want to spend it any other way."

Jasmin, aged 23 and boasting a significant online presence herself after appearing on Celebs Go Dating, appeared quite comfortable announcing their romance. Junior's post was peppered with hashtags like "19," "birthday" and "loved up" signalling his new romantic status.

Meanwhile, Princess, Junior's 16 year old sister, is also in a relationship and has been showing off her beau on social media, as reported by the Daily Star. With both of his eldest children dating, Peter Andre has set clear boundaries at home, stating that while he permits his kids to have their partners over, there will be no bedroom sharing on his watch, reports the Mirror.

In a candid chat with OK! magazine, Peter reminisced about his own strict upbringing: "My mum and dad were very strict. We grew up very religious. I remember I had a girlfriend at 19 and I wasn't allowed to bring her home, not even for dinner."

He then outlined his own rules for his household: "But then, I've got rules in my house now. The kids are allowed to have boyfriends and girlfriends over, but they've got to be 16 and they're not allowed to stay over. And if they do stay over, one is upstairs and one's downstairs."

The star shares his teenage offspring with former glamour model Katie Price, whom he famously met on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! in 2004. Their whirlwind romance quickly escalated after leaving the jungle, leading to marriage and a family life constantly in the spotlight, including on various reality shows.

However, after four and a half years, the celebrity couple parted ways but continued to co-parent their two children. While Katie has since entered a new relationship, Peter has found love again with his wife Emily, with whom he has three children.
