Peter Andre and wife Emily finally reveal name of newborn daughter after weeks of deliberation

Peter Andre and his wife Emily have shared the sweet name of their new baby girl with fans, after much speculation and even crowd-sourcing ideas on social media.

The couple, who are now proud parents to three children together, had previously kept fans in suspense before finally unveiling the name of their latest addition.

Emily took to Instagram to post an adorable snapshot of their daughter, captioning it: "It's taken a while but after lots of deliberation we've finally decided. Arabella Rose Andrea. Thank you to the lovely Sarah Deakin @curation_studio for the beautiful photos! ".

The announcement was met with a wave of affection from followers, with comments pouring in to celebrate the news. One fan expressed their delight, commenting: "Beautiful name congratulations."

Another chimed in with warm wishes: "Huge congratulations, she's going to be so loved and spoilt, surrounded by such a loving family", reports the Mirror.

A third admirer added: "Gorgeous! What a lucky girl she is.."

The name Arabella is derived from the Latin word "orabilis" and translates to "invokable" or "prayerful", but it can also signify "loving" or "lovable".

Often seen as a variant of Annabelle, topped with her floral middle name Rose and Greek second middle name Andrea a touching tribute to Peter's lineage denoting "warrior" or "protector" it conveys a profound sentiment that suits Peter and Emily's daughter perfectly.

Prior to announcing his youngest daughter's moniker, Peter conceded he was wrestling over the task of zeroing in on one as the legal cut-off date was closing in. The 'Mysterious Girl' star revealed last month that picking a name had been contentious between him and Emily.

Peter admitted he was casting off the burden of finalising the name onto Emily, freeing himself from the associated duties. He told OK! magazine: "We are still no closer to a name for our newest bundle of joy. Any time Emily and I discuss it, it just gets put to one side. Since Emily and I concurred that she'd take the helm on this, it seems the process has become even slower."

He also spoke of Emily's recuperation following the birth: "She is recovering after all, so I entirely understand. We have less than four weeks left before we must formally register her. I took our little one for her first stroll in the pram while dropping Millie and Theo at school. It's beautiful to relive these precious moments."

Peter announced the birth of his youngest child on April 3, sharing photos of himself and Emily holding their newborn in the hospital. In a joint post, he expressed that they were feeling "overwhelmed" by the new arrival.

He wrote: "Just minutes old......We feel so overwhelmed right now. So happy to welcome our beautiful girl to the family. Mum and daughter are doing amazing. Born Tuesday 2nd April 2024, 7lb 3oz and thankfully very healthy."

The couple already have two children, Amelia, 10, and Theo, seven. Peter's family also includes his older children, Junior Andre, 18, and Princess Andre, 16.

He added in the announcement post: "Baby has been spoilt with cuddles from Junior, Princess, Amelia and Theo who are all in love with their new little sister. As parents, we couldn't be happier."

Expressing his gratitude, he concluded: "Thanks to all the doctors, midwives and staff at Musgrove Park Hospital Taunton. You were incredible. And Emily's parents, whom I adore. You have both been incredible. I'm so happy. Just off to hold her. Thanks everyone for reading."

Peter previously reached out to his fans for a bit of assistance, asking for name suggestions for his soon-to-arrive baby girl. In an engaging social media post, he said: "Only thing is.... She has no name yet. Help! " His call was met with a flurry of responses, with names like Sophia, Nell, Aria, Willow, Daisy, Maria and Caitlyn being thrown into the mix, alongside other suggestions such as Dylan, Melissa, Ola and Eva.

The couple, who tied the knot back in 2015, had previously announced their joyous news last year, sharing an adorable snap featuring baby scan images. The caption accompanying the photo read: "We are delighted to share the news with you all. A new addition to our family in 2024. The kids are so excited. So are we."

Throughout Emily's pregnancy, the couple have kept their followers well-informed. Just a month ago, Peter shared in his OK! magazine column that the arrival of their new bundle of joy could be imminent, saying: "Emily and I are on total tenterhooks now that the baby is due any day. We thought it was going to happen last week when she seemed to be having contractions. It ended up being Braxton Hicks [and she] takes it all in her stride."
