Yahoo News Peter Kay "in talks" for TV comeback in comedy Brassic, says star
Brassic star Michelle Keegan has revealed that the comedy could welcome a very special guest in its next series in the form of comedian Peter Kay.
Speaking to Heart, Keegan, who plays Erin Croft in Sky One comedy-drama Brassic, revealed that the show's co-creator Joe Gilgun has previously been in contact with Car Share star Kay about a possible role.
And the actress revealed that although nothing has been confirmed, she'd absolutely love to see it happen.
"The last season I remember Joe speaking to Peter because I know that Peter is a fan of the show," she said.

"I don't know if it's true that he's joining, I just know that he's a fan of the show and he was in talks with Joe. It would be great, he'd be a great addition to the show. I'm a massive fan of Peter Kay as well so fingers crossed, it'd be hilarious."
Brassic, which follows a group of Lancashire friends as they embark on a range of money-making schemes, is now back for its second series and Keegan revealed that she loves playing her "strong" character Erin.
"She speaks her mind quite a lot. I suppose I can do that sometimes and she gets on well with the lads, you have to just get stuck in and I suppose that's what Erin does," she said.
The actress has already confirmed that she will play Erin for a third season of the show and revealed that she hopes her character sticks with the gang, despite the trouble they cause her.

"Season three is already in the works, I'm on board," she said. "I don't really know storylines, what's going to happen yet, but my hope for Erin is that she stays with the gang because I think she finds it really exciting and [it] gives her a purpose in a way.
"She's like the mother hen of the group and she just enjoys being around the lads, so for me, I hope she has more storylines with the gang."
Brassic seasons 1 and 2 are both available to watch on NOW TV.
