Five pharmacies across Accrington and Bolton have been put up for sale.

Christie & Co, a specialist business property adviser, was instructed to sell the pharmacies on behalf of Sykes Chemist Group.

Paradise Street Pharmacy, within the Pals Health Centre in Accrington, has been put on the market.

The other four pharmacies are in Bolton; Gatleys Pharmacy in Tonge Old Road, Haslams Pharmacy in Halliwell Road, Rigbys Chemist in Swan Lane, and Howards Pharmacy in Chorley Old Road.

Cumulatively, these community pharmacies dispense around 33,000 items monthly.

The pharmacies are part of a wider group of 14 branches owned by Sykes Chemist Group, which has decided to sell these branches as part of a review of its portfolio.

Tom Young, business agent – [parmacy at Christie & Co, who is overseeing the sale, said: "We are delighted to have been engaged by the family of Sykes Chemist Group in this exciting disposal project of five north west pharmacies.

"Greater Manchester is a hotbed of buyer activity, especially for first and second-time buyers, so we expect a strong response from the market on this instruction."

The group is up for sale on an individual, group, or sub-group basis.

The deadline for offers is at 12pm on July 19.
