Phoenix Shooting: Body Confirmed As Gunman's

Police in Phoenix, Arizona, say they have positively identified a body found earlier inthe day as that of the suspect in a deadly office shooting.

Arthur Douglas Harmon's body was found on Thursday morning near the car he was seen driving away from a Phoenix law office on Wednesday.

Police say the 70-year-old died of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The body was found in some bushes by a landscaper, police said.

Police had been searching for Harmon since the Wednesday morning shooting that left one person dead and two others critically wounded.

Harmon reportedly drew a gun and shot two men and a woman at the end of a mediation session Wednesday morning, police said.

The shooting victims were taken to hospital after the incident on Wednesday morning where one man, 48-year-old Steve Singer, later died.

The other two victims, a 43-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman, remain in critical condition.

"We believe the two men were the targets. It was not a random shooting," said Sergeant Tommy Thompson, a spokesman for Phoenix police.

He said a dispute with someone at the building became heated, and the suspect pulled out a gun and started shooting. He said he did not know what type of gun had been used.

The suspect also reportedly shot at a witness who followed him to try to copy down his licence plate number as he drove away from the scene.

According to court documents, Harmon was scheduled be in a law office in the same building where the shooting took place for a settlement conference in a lawsuit he had filed against Fusion Contact Centers.

Mr Singer was the CEO of Fusion, and the other male victim was reportedly an attorney representing the company.

The central Phoenix office building was evacuated as police searched for the suspect and any additional victims.

Authorities reportedly served a search warrant on Harmon's house seven miles from the office park, but found nobody inside.
