Emergency services rushed to the city centre after a car crashed into a building.

It is understood that the red Honda Jazz hit a white 2023 Mercedes before reversing at speed into Strutt & Parker's office.

Photos from the scene show the impacted bricks and window completely smashed. A desk was next to the window, but the Journal understands no one in the estate agents was injured.

The elderly woman driving the car was assisted by passers-by before paramedics arrived on the scene. An ambulance left Milford Street just before midday.

A spokesperson for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "A crew from Salisbury were called to Milford Street at 11.14am this morning following reports of a road traffic collision.

"The incident involved a single vehicle and a building – firefighters assisted with scene and vehicle safety before handing over to our police colleagues.

"Our stop was in at 12.05pm."

A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said: “At around 11am (24/06) we responded to a two-vehicle collision in Milford Street, Salisbury, with one of the vehicles colliding with a building.

“There were no injuries and no arrests have been made.”

A spokesperson for Strutt & Parker said they would be assessing the damage – but reassured their customers that they would be contactable online and via phone while that is underway.

The ambulance service has been contacted for more information.
