Coming Of Age Day: Japanese women mark passage into adulthood by wearing Kimonos in the snow

A generation of young Japanese boys and girls have marked their passage into adulthood with a formal ceremony and national holiday. The Coming of Age Day, or Seijin no Hi, is a national holiday for people who have recently turned 20. The tradition allows girls to wear expensive and elaborate Kimono for the first time.
