Piers Morgan has said Boris Johnson can “get in the bin” after it was found that the former Prime Minister had misled parliament over COVID lockdown parties.

The broadcaster weighed in on his TalkTV show after the findings of the Partygate inquiry came out.

“This report is 108 pages long, 30,000 words of shame, and it is a shameful read,” said the TV star.

“It’s shameful for Boris Johnson and it’s shameful for this country.”

“Most former Prime Ministers go into the annals of history,” added Morgan.

“Boris, frankly, can get in the bin.”

Other stars to have shared their thoughts on the findings include This Morning regular Carol Vorderman.

"GENERAL ELECTION NOW.”

Singer Sir Rod Stewart said in an interview on Sky News that he was still a "bit of a fan" of Johnson and that people knew what they were getting with him.

“I was and still am, a bit of a fan of Boris,” he said.

"I think he has got wonderful charisma, but you know, you knew what you were getting with Boris, you know. It's not unusual.
