The outspoken broadcaster hosted the ITV programme with Reid until 2021, when he walked away from his role after refusing to apologise for saying he didn’t believe some of the things the Duchess of Sussex said in her interview with US chat show host Oprah Winfrey.
The pair were reunited this week, with Morgan sharing a snap on Instagram of them eating together.
“Good morning (again) Britain!” he wrote.
“Been a while since we last had breakfast together… lovely to see you @susannareid100.”
Reid also shared a snap from their get together on her own account, captioned: “Long time no see…”
The images had fans feeling nostalgic for the days before Morgan left, with many urging him to go back and take up his old seat alongside Reid.
"Come back please," pleaded one person.
Another posted in the comments section: "That's how Good Morning Britain should look now."
"This is how it should be!!!" agreed another.
"What a great duo you were, get Piers back beside you," one fan told Reid.
Another said that Good Morning Britain had "not been the same" without Morgan, who now hosts his own chat show on TalkTV.
Morgan also shared a snap to mark the anniversary of his return to the UK from the US.
"Nine years ago tonight, I hosted my last of 1000+ shows for @cnn and walked off (pic) back to Britain, real football, cricket, pubs, mushy peas & breakfast TV… and more walk-offs!" he captioned the photo of him walking down a corridor.
"It’s been one helluva ride."
