Reid also remembered her late BBC Breakfast co-host Bill Turnbull, who died in September 2022 aged 66 , after being diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2018.
Reid said: "I started with Bill Turnbull, and it is really a shame not to be able to celebrate with Bill. I'd love to be able to text him this morning and talk to him about that. He was absolutely brilliant, but luckily I am surrounded by other brilliant people and so thank you very much for being with me on the journey."

She also thanked GMB co-hosts Ben Shepherd and Charlotte Hawkins and Sean Fletcher.
Fletcher said: "Obviously, a massive thanks to Ben, who is not here this morning but we started Good Morning Britain together along with you Charlotte of course and Sean as well."
Reid and Morgan co-hosted GMB together between 2015 and March 2021 when he was forced to forced to quit after saying he did not believe claims made by Meghan Markle about her mental health and suicidal feelings in the interview with Oprah Winfrey.
His comments sparked more than 57,000 complaints to Ofcom, including from Meghan and Prince Harry themselves.
But he was later cleared by the broadcasting regulator which said he was "entitled to say he disbelieved" the royal couple and that "the restriction of such views would be an unwarranted and chilling restriction of freedom of expression".

Since he left Reid has been joined by a rota of various presenters, including self-proclaimed Money Saving Expert Martin Lewis, former politician Ed Balls, Kate Garraway and Richard Madeley.
Reid started her journalistic career at BBC Radio Bristol before branching into TV when she joined BBC News 24.
