At the age of 21, Forbes named Jenner the youngest self made billionaire following the astronomical success of her beauty brand Kylie Cosmetics.
Whilst her fans have applauded her achievements, Morgan has hit out at the youngest member of the Kardashian/Jenner family by claiming that her fortune isn’t ‘self made’.
In an article for the Mail Online, the Good Morning Britain anchor told readers: “Kylie Jenner didn’t become a billionaire because of her work ethic and it’s preposterous for anyone to say she did, least of all Forbes who should and do know better.
“She became a billionaire because her sister Kim starred in a sex tape.”
Morgan went on to criticise Jenner’s status by pointing out that whilst she didn’t “inherit” money, she did inherit the fame which helped her business turn into a billion dollar empire.
Believing that Jenner’s title is sending the wrong message to young girls, Morgan continued to comment: “Whether you want to admit it or not Kylie, you owe it all to a grainy video of Kim having sex. Why does this matter?
“Because young girls should surely have better aspirations than thinking the way to succeed in life is to make a sex tape, or post dumb topless photos?”
Morgan’s comments come after he became embroiled in a Twitter spat with One Direction star Liam Payne who defended Jenner after Morgan criticised her on social media.
After Morgan made the point that Kardashian’s sex tape was the reason for Jenner’s success, Payne fired back: “I’m sorry but piers are you crazy your only here cuz you talk s**t about everyone and make controversial outbursts about people to get attention…At least Kylie Jenner has her own business she built herself why not congratulate someone for once instead of knocking people.”
Refusing to listen to Payne, Morgan replied: “Hi Liam, a) She didn’t ‘build herself’, she became rich & famous from her sister’s sex tape. b) It’s ‘you’re’.”
