Piers Morgan has refused Fiona Harvey's £1m demand, criticising her intentions by suggesting "what she wants is an agent."

Following on from their recent clash in an exclusive interview aired on Piers Morgan's YouTube channel, the former Good Morning Britain host spoke to Harvey, originally from Aberdeenshire, as she argued openly about her experience of being exposed as Richard Gadd's supposed stalker.

Harvey endured a thorough questioning concerning allegations of her obsession with the Fife-born comedian over multiple years. After the worldwide exclusive, Piers revealed in his initial conversation ever since, with Lorraine Kelly, that he will not succumb to Harvey's dissatisfaction at having been offered only £250 for the interview, stating definitively that he would not compensate her further.

When asked by Lorraine, "What was she like when she came in? And you know she wants one million pounds from you? " Piers responded with amusement, adding "I do. And no, she's not going to get £1million, what she wants is an agent.

But we gave her the same amount that we give 95% of our guests. We don't discuss terms but we pay for a nice haircut, a car and everything else. I think we've performed our duty of care well and we've stayed in touch with her since.

"When she came to the studio, she was actually relatively normal. I didn't get the signs of someone who was mentally unwell but I do think she sends all those messages and I do think that shows that she has an obsessive streak, certainly in relation to Richard Gadd.", reports the Daily Record.

Lorraine suggested to Piers that he conducted the interview for 'clicks'. She said: "A lot of people said you just did it for clicks."

He responded: "Well I have a YouTube channel called Piers Morgan Uncensored and I want people to click on it! Yeah, shock horror! You do a show for ratings, that's the game we're in. I want people to watch the content we do, that's not why I did the interview."

Speaking exclusively to the Daily Record on Monday, the Scots law graduate revealed her anger after her appearance on his YouTube Uncensored show made the host at least £250,000 already.

The interview has been watched by more than 11 million viewers and will continue to generate revenue for Morgan every time it is viewed on his YouTube channel.

But Harvey disclosed she wants a larger share of the show's earnings and will "settle for" seven figures.

Fiona stated: "They offered me £250 and I asked if that was what they paid everyone and, if so, I wanted to see documentation to that effect."

"That documentation has not been forthcoming. I have not signed a contract for the interview and I will be seeking far more than a piddling £250."

"I'd settle for a million."

Speaking on Lorraine, Piers shared that despite his experience with high-profile stories, "Baby Reindeer is one of the biggest things I've been involved in". He described Fiona as "relatively normal" during her appearance in his Uncensored studio.

Yet, he expressed his conviction that Harvey "did send those messages", maintaining that he was "very fair and balanced, and tried to get the truth," while conceding that he feels "she lied to me a lot in the interview."

Piers also mentioned his eagerness to host Richard Gadd on his YouTube channel, noting that he has reached out via email to arrange an interview.

"I want to get him on, I want to be fair to him too, I don't know where the truth lies."

This statement follows Piers breaking his silence on social media on May 10.

He took to Twitter, now X, on Friday morning after the contentious interview, posting: "WOW. 3.5m views of my interview with the real-life #BabyReindeer alleged stalker Fiona Harvey in just 11hrs..." and included the link to the YouTube video for the full interview.

Today, Piers tweeted the front page of The Daily Record, which exclusively reported Fiona's demand for £1 million pounds, commenting: 'No Fiona... you want an agent.'

The erstwhile TalkTV presenter let slip that he hadn't initially understood the impact of the interview, sharing with Lorraine: "I didn't even realise the scale of how big this show is and I honestly had to be persuaded by my team and thank god they did as it's been part of the phenomenon now and this Baby Reindeer thing has been one of the biggest things I've ever been involved in.

Post-interview, Harvey revealed to the Record that she was dissatisfied with Piers' methods during their conversation in London, calling it a "sparring match"
