Piers Morgan threatens to quit 'GMB' after mocking Tweet
Piers Morgan threatened to quit Good Morning Britain on Wednesday after the show took a jibe at him on Twitter.
His crew and co-hosts of the daytime TV show took to Twitter to describe working with him as ‘difficult’, before sharing a video of the GMB team looking miserable.
This is an urgent appeal on behalf of the team at Good Morning Britain.
We have to work with Piers Morgan on a daily basis – each day it gets more difficult. Please vote for us at the NTAs, we deserve this 👉 https://t.co/yGb79RCZD5 pic.twitter.com/nZsGhaLfK9

In the tweet, they complained about having to work with Morgan on a daily basis.
However, Morgan didn’t see the funny side of post (or rather, he did and is just playing along) and warned that he’ll leave the show if they tweet anything like that again.
Relax – any more tweets like this & you won't be working with me on a daily basis. https://t.co/FAB9jq8SdD

This prompted a barrage of tweets from people calling for GMB to mock him further in the hope that he’d resign.
@GMB keep tweeting. He's going to resign.

Others took the opportunity to criticise Morgan and, in turn, the show for giving him a platform.
One viewer wrote: “The Good Morning Britain team enable Piers Morgan’s rude antics. They encourage him to be as vile as possible because they think it appeals to the quirky side of Brits and brings in the ratings. Totally shamefree.”
Another tweeted: “Ooooh thinking of moving on, are we? Bet Susanna Reid is awaiting that day with hope in her heart..”
However, Morgan also had plenty of support, with many fans claiming the show wouldn’t be worth watching without him.
You’re the only person with an actual opnion, the others just say what the auto says. 😂

The light-hearted clip was an attempt to get viewers to vote for GMB at this year’s National Television Awards. The programme has been nominated for Best Daytime TV show, and Morgan has also received a nomination for Best Presenter.
Susanna Reid, however, is a notable omission from this years nominees, something Morgan has taken much delight in rubbing in her face.
Morgan will be up against Ant and Dec, Strictly host Tess Daly, Love Island’s Caroline Flack, The Grand Tour’s Jeremy Clarkson and James Corden for Best Presenter.
