Ping aim to improve eight in ten golfers with groundbreaking adjustable putter technology

Ping have moved to improve the game of 80 per cent of golfers after adding an adjustable shaft their new Sigma 2 range of putters.

The range, which features ten models and multi-layer face technology, now boasts the ability for golfers to adjust their putter to suit their stroke and stance.

It is a feature which conforms to all USGA rules over adjusting clubs, with a tool inserted into the top of the grip allowing players to customise the length between 32" and 36".

Ping claim that eight out of ten golfers play with a putter which doesn't properly fit them and that their scores are worse off as a result.

"The adjustable shaft is just a really cool technology," said Ping president John K. Solheim. "Our engineers took a very complex technical challenge and simplified it for the benefit of golfers.

"Our research indicates 8 out of 10 golfers are playing the wrong-length putters and losing strokes as a result.

"That’s a staggering statistic to us and one we’ve made easy for golfers to solve with the Sigma 2. Golfers will see significant improvement in their putting consistency if they use a putter length customised to their game.”
