Pink Moon Lives Up to Its Name as It Rises Over Chesapeake Bay

April’s full moon is called the Pink Moon, not because it’s actually pink, but after a kind of herb that’s a harbinger of spring in the eastern US. Still, as the full moon rose over Chesapeake Bay on April 23, it did take on a fitting pink hue.
