A popular pizza restaurant in Bristol that closed down three years ago is set to reopen its doors next month. Bosco Pizzeria will reopen its Clifton branch on June 3 after it closed in August 2021.

The pizzeria, which has restaurants in Bath, Cheltenham and on Whiteladies Road, is set to have a second Bristol branch on Regent Street. The Covid-19 pandemic was the last time Bristol saw the Clifton Village branch operate as a takeaway.

The brand is known for its wood-fired pizzas and Italian cooking, serving classic dishes like risotto, Italian cured meats and spaghetti dishes. Owner Miles Johnson opened Pizzucci on Gloucester Road last year.

The restaurant on Whiteladies Road was damaged in a fire when it was preparing to reopen in July 2020. A fault with newly-installed ovens resulted in a fire, which delayed the reopening of the restaurant following the pandemic.

Clifton Village had another opening earlier this month, as Gail’s bakery opened a new location in the area. Serving a range of cakes and treats, the brand is known for building relationships with the local community.
