A Place in the Sun's Jasmine Harman has been met with cries of 'don't be so hard on yourself' from her fans as she shared a one-month update on her fitness journey on social media. The 48 year old property expert, who has graced our screens for two decades as one of the original presenters on the Channel 4 programme, is a hit with viewers.

With a whopping 178,000 followers on Instagram, Jasmine regularly shares snippets of her life away from the limelight. Earlier in the year, she announced a personal challenge to herself in anticipation of her 50th birthday, which is still 18 months away.

Jasmine, now living in sunny Spain with her family, expressed her desire to become the "fittest, strongest, healthiest, happiest and most confident and well-balanced version of myself that I can be". And all this by the time she hits the big 5-0.

On Sunday, she took to Instagram to let her followers know how her fitness challenge was faring, admitting: "Thought I'd give you a little update on how it's going. Not as planned basically. I have been doing some more exercise but not as much as I wanted to.", reports the Liverpool Echo.

She continued, reflecting on her busy schedule: "And then I go 'I've been so busy, I've been working, travelling, parenting' but I just feel like I'm making excuses."

Despite feeling somewhat disheartened, Jasmine revealed she had made some progress: "I have progressed from where I was a month ago ... but I'm still feeling quite disappointed in myself. Anyway, my new challenge for the coming month, I'm going to do 10 minutes of exercise every day that I can't do a class or a session."

Concluding her post, she thanked her supporters: "Thanks for sticking with me and I'll keep you updated as to how it's going."

Supporters were swift to shower the post with positive messages as one fan, Claire commented: "Don't be so hard on yourself. You are doing so much and you are doing so well. You've got this, keep going! "

Another supporter, William, cautioned: "Forgive the slips, every day is a new day with a new start". While Sarah positively urged, "Just keep going. Every little helps and think of all the extra things you are doing now that you weren't a month ago".
