Plan to change 5 London Overground stations after stop revamped
TfL has said that it plans to make a change to five London Overground stations. It comes after one stop was recently revamped.
Five stops are set to get new ticket barriers after Bruce Grove station got a new waiting room and paint scheme. As part of the council’s High Streets Heritage Action Zone (HSHAZ) project, Haringey Council carried out a 'detailed' condition survey and feasibility study of the building.
This highlighted that repair works were required. So, starting in late summer 2023, Arriva Rail London delivered a 'comprehensive' repair to disused waiting rooms on the Southbound platform.

Fully funded by TfL, the works were completed in December, and officials say these have resulted in 'extensive structural repairs and a sympathetic refurbishment'.
The works included a new community space, staff mess room and maintenance storage facility.
Now, TfL has said that it is making changes elsewhere. The authority was asked via a freedom of information request: "Are there currently any plans or going installations of new ticket barriers at stations which do not have them?
"In particular I am interested on the lines that lead out of London Liverpool Street ('Weaver' lines) and specifically Bruce Grove station, which was recently revamped with a new waiting room and paint scheme.”

A case officer responded: "Outline plans exist to install gatelines at the following stations on the Weaver Line in the future. However, please note, these schemes are currently unfunded and not yet programmed"
They then listed the below stops:
Cambridge Heath
Bruce Grove
Silver Street
London Fields
Stoke Newington
