Plane Drops Retardant on Dixie Fire in California

A plane dropped fire retardant on the Dixie fire, which was burning across multiple counties in California, on July 26.

The fire spread to 208,206 acres (about 325 square miles) and was 23 percent contained by July 27, according to fire officials.
