Milo the sausage dog found himself in an unfortunate predicament when he found himself too plump to squeeze through some railings.

The pet got stuck in between some bars in Glasgow, and had to wait to be saved by the fire service.

The dachshund was waiting for his owner Sarah Jane Thompson in the garden.

Clearly impatient for his owner to return, he ran around the garden and got stuck in the railings while doing so.

Ms Thompson was putting her six-week-old daughter into her pram ahead of a walk in the Glasgow sunshine on Monday.

As she was doing so, the excitable dog managed to get himself stuck between the garden and the street.

Milo was stuck for almost half an hour as she tried to free him.

Eventually, she rang the fire service who freed the pooch from his predicament.
