Plumstead station delays: Southeastern trains disrupted after dead body found on track
A south-east London train station was closed after a dead body was found on the tracks.
Police cars and ambulances arrived at Plumstead station at around 6.30am on Wednesday following the discovery.
The station was closed off and Southeastern trains on the Woolwich line were disrupted during the morning rush hour with a swathe of track from Charlton to Slade Green blocked.
Trains from Charing Cross and Cannon Street to and from Barnehurst were being affected.

One commuter tweeted: “SE London commuters hoping to get to Centre stay away from @Se_Railway.
“Incident at Plumstead, big delays and crowding.”
Southeastern said the line reopened at around 9.15am but some residual disruption was expected.
Tickets were being accepted on London buses, which are also on diversion near the station, and the DLR.
