Plymouth Argyle linked with loan move for Crystal Palace midfielder David Ozoh

Plymouth Argyle want to sign Crystal Palace's 19-year-old midfielder David Ozoh on a season-long loan, according to the South London Press.

Edmund Brack has reported the Pilgrims also had an interest in taking Ozoh on loan in January but that Palace decided to keep him for the rest of their 2023/24 campaign. Now it appears they are ready to let him make a temporary move away from Selhurst Park.

Ozoh, an England under-18 international, made 12 first team appearances last season, all of them as a substitute, with nine of the games in the Premier League.

He earned particular praise after he came off the bench in the first half of Palace's 2-2 draw with champions Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium in December.

Ozoh has also featured six times for Palace under-21s in the EFL Trophy, which included playing the first 77 minutes of a 1-0 group stage defeat by Argyle at Home Park in October 2022.

Argyle have made just one addition to their squad so far this summer, with Nathanael Ogbeta joining from Championship rivals Swansea City as a free agent.
