Plymouth Wilko store makes big changes

Plymouth's Wilko store has been 'reconfigured' in a brand new layout to accommodate a huge influx of new products. Shoppers visiting the retail giants in the city will notice the changes on their next visit to the store.

Wilko has made it even easier for locals to get all the household and garden items they need by adding hundreds of new lines to its instore offering.

Such is the scale of the additional product, the store has had to be reconfigured, with a new layout that allows the space to better house its newly expanded departments, including home essentials, beauty, gardening and pets.

Many of Wilko’s most popular own-brand products, including dog food, beauty collections and Clever Pots, are returning to these categories.

The store, situated at Plymouth’s Armada Centre, was the first of the business’ high street locations to relaunch after the business was bought by CDS Superstores. It opened to a queue of hundreds of excited locals in December 2023.

The £2.25m store opened just weeks after it was brought back to life by Plymouth businessman Chris Dawson. Sore bosses said the new 'concept store' would contain “everything you’d expect from Wilko and more.
