Poacher ordered to watch Bambi repeatedly as part of jail sentence for illegally killing hundreds of deer

A poacher has been ordered to watch Bambi repeatedly in prison after being convicted of illegally killing hundreds of deer.

David Berry Jr, must watch the Disney film at least one a month during his year-long sentence in the US.

The Missouri hunter was arrested along with two family members in August for killing the deer.

It was one of the biggest poaching cases in Missouri history, according to reports.

“The deer were trophy bucks taken illegally, mostly at night, for their heads, leaving the bodies of the deer to waste,” said Don Trotter, the prosecuting attorney in Lawrence county in the state’s south-west.

Berry, his father, two brothers and another man who helped them had their hunting, fishing and trapping privileges removed as part of the sentences.

The men have paid $51,000 in fines and court costs.
