The Pokémon Player Cup final, which is something of an esports competition between top players all over the world, is taking place this weekend.
Pokémon Sword and Shield rounds will be broadcast live on the official Pokémon Twitch channel starting tomorrow and if you tune in you can get a free download code for a battle-ready Pokémon to claim in either of the games.
Throughout the broadcast, which will feature intense battles between players online, password codes will be shown on screen, which you can use to redeem the gift Pokémon, Porygon2.
As far as we know, these passwords will work just once for every person, which could mean you can't use it multiple times yourself.
Enter this password into the Mystery Gift feature in your Pokémon Sword or Pokémon Shield game and you should see it download to your game.
Time to work on your Trick Room strategy, Trainers—soon you’ll be able to claim your own battle-ready Porygon2! In celebration of the Players Cup #PokemonVG Finals, we’ll be giving out the Virtual Pokémon on stream, so make sure to tune in!

How to watch the Pokémon Player Cup
The Pokémon Player Cup, which has been airing throughout the summer, will be airing its finale broadcast tomorrow, at 7pm BST on August 22 and at the same time again on August 23.
These will be the final rounds of the Pokémon Sword and Shield matches and if you tune in you can get a download code to add a 'battle-ready' Porygon2 to your roster in Sword or Shield.
You can catch all the action either on the official Pokémon Twitch channel here.
How to claim your free Porygon2 in Pokémon Sword and Shield
During the show, which sees players fight it out in pitched matches, there will be a password which will occasionally come on the screen - this is what you need to make a note of to claim a free prize.
To be in for a chance of getting this code, all you need to do is tune in to the live broadcast on Twitch and keep an eye out for the password.
Once you've got it, fire up your Switch and launch whichever version of the game you have - Sword or Shield - or, if you have both, open the one which you want the Pokémon to be downloaded to.
When you're in-game, bring up the X menu and select the Mystery Gift option and choose the 'Get with Code/Password' which will connect you to the internet.
Enter in the password and watch as the new Pokémon is delivered directly into your party or your Pokémon boxes.
That's it - just make sure you save your game afterwards because as far as we know the code is single-use for each person, which most likely means you can only redeem it once.
