Police appeal for witnesses after pedestrian is hit with a car during rush hour

A pedestrian was rushed to hospital with serious injuries after a collision with a car on a busy Reading roundabout.

The incident occurred on Friday, June 14 at around 8:15am at the roundabout with Caversham Road.

A silver Honda Accord estate collided with a man in his sixties during the morning rush hour.

Thames Valley Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the car hitting the man to come forward.

Investigating officer PC Thomas Dickinson, of the Joint Roads Policing unit, said: “This incident occurred during the morning rush hour; I would ask for anyone who was in or near the area in which this collision took place to get in touch with us if you saw the incident or anything leading up to it.

“Also, if any motorists in the area have dash-cams, please check the footage in case anything significant was caught.
