Police believe car blaze started by suspect who fled the scene

Police are appealing for information after a suspect set fire to four cars in a Suffolk town.

Firefighters were called to a blaze in Newmarket on Icewell Hill at about 9.10pm on Sunday.

Suffolk police has now said it is believed an unknown person set light to a vehicle at about 9pm.

A spokesman said this fire then spread to three other cars parked nearby, causing extensive damage.

Police are asking for anyone with information to contact them quoting, crime reference number 37/36662/24.
