Leigh Withers, Principal at Marine Academy Plymouth said his school was one of many in the area to take up the offer of a visit from a drug dog from Devon and Cornwall Police.

He praised the "brilliant" Skye who attended along with local PCs. He said: "MAP is pleased to work closely with all sorts of local organisations, the police included, to make sure the school community is happy and thriving.

“We are keen that the young people in our care are aware of the dangers of drugs and take steps to educate them on all manner of social issues, alongside their academic studies, so that they are provided with the very best life chances.

"Staff and students at MAP are fully supportive of this approach and welcomed Skye’s visit.”
