A police officer accidentally completed a form issuing a fine to himself for possessing an untaxed vehicle.

He was mocked by his colleagues who said that the whole office was amused by his error.

The letter from the DVLA to the officer said he could face court action if he failed to pay the fine.

The West Yorkshire Police Department tweeted: “To the great amusement of the rest of the office, one of our colleagues managed to fill a form in incorrectly, and prosecuted himself for driving an untaxed vehicle.”
