Police recover £240,000 of drugs from Aberdeen property as man, 24, arrested

Police have recovered nearly a quarter of a million pounds worth of drugs from a property in the Torry area of Aberdeen.

Officers from the Community Investigation Unit executed a warrant at an address on Kirkhill Road at around 8.45am on Thursday, June 28.

A quantity of cannabis plants with a potential street value of £240,000 were recovered during the search, and a 24-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with drug offences.

He is due to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Friday, June 28, following his arrest.

Sergeant Mark Rennie said: "Drugs cause misery in our communities and Police Scotland is committed to disrupting the cultivation and sale of illegal substances.
